Before you start
Is Urdulik really free?
Yes. Writing, poster design, opening files and every download are free. There are no paid plans and no watermark is added to what you make.
Do I need to sign up or log in?
No. There is no account at all. Open the editor and start writing — nothing asks for your email, phone number or password.
Where are my documents saved?
In your own browser, on your own device. Urdulik has no server that receives your writing. You can also download a backup file and restore it on another device.
Does it work on a mobile phone?
Yes. Urdulik works in the browser on Android phones, iPhones, tablets and computers, and it can be installed to the home screen like an app.
Can I use it without internet?
Yes. After the first visit the editor is kept on your device, so it opens and works offline. Only voice typing needs a connection.
Can I write Urdu in Nastaliq?
Yes. Jameel Noori Nastaleeq is the default face, and Noto Nastaliq Urdu, Gulzar and more than twenty Naskh, Kufi and display fonts are included — nothing to install.
Can I open my old InPage files?
Yes. Open a .inp file made by a version of InPage before version 3 and its text is turned into Unicode Urdu that you can edit, copy and paste anywhere.
Can I write an affidavit on e-stamp paper?
Yes. Open a scan or PDF of your e-stamp paper, choose an affidavit sample or type your own text, set where the text starts and print it on the real paper. See the affidavit samples page for ready formats.
Can I print the posters I make?
Yes. Set the page in mm, cm or inches with a DPI, add bleed for the press, and download a PNG, JPG or PDF. Sizes for flex banners, flyers and social posts are ready.
